Citrix AppDNA 7.5 Requirements

Citrix AppDNA 7.5 can be used to assess application migration compatibility with Microsoft App-V & Windows OS as part of citrix upgrade project


System Requirements

The following configuration for AppDNA to support up to 200 applications
OS: windows Server 2012 R2
RAM: 6 GB
HDD: OS Drive + 100 GB
CPU: 4 CPU

Note: In a complete AppDNA installation, the AppDNA server, website, database, and desktop client are installed on the same machine. Provided a full IIS-based web server is in use, users on other devices that are connected to the local intranet can use the AppDNA web client to view the reporting results in their browser. This does not require the installation of any AppDNA software

Software Requirements:
      1)     .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
2)     .NET Framework 4.0
3)     SQL Server 2012 Express Edition (built-in 10GB database size limit)
            4)     IIS
            5)     Internet Explorer 10 or 11 with JavaScript and unencrypted forms enabled

Installation Process:
 1)     Deploy Server with all prerequisites
       2)     Install  SQL Database
       3)     Install IIS with features mentioned in IIS and ASP.Net Features
       4)     Install Citrix AppDNA 7.5 in complete Server Mode

The quick reference guide below will help diagnose and rule out some common issues experienced in the 3PAR arrays.  CLI COMMAND – “STATVLUN” measures the round trip time of an IO as seen by the system. Running STATVLUN in the following order should lead to the resolution of a few performance issues: 1)      “statvlun –ni”   – The STATVLUN command without any switches will show the round trip time of IO on each path for exported Virtual Volumes. This is helpful to determine if there is a multipathing issue.
