Migrate VCOPS to vRealize 6.0

Pre-requisite:
1: Download the vRealize appliance. Below the link to download appliance.
2: Take Backup  of VCOPS UI and analytic's server
3: The Version of VCOPS should be 5.8.1 , if not install PAK file to upgrade to 5.8.1 version
4: 2 temporary IP’s to install the vRealize operation management

Steps to configure and migrate

1: Login to vCenter and import vRealize appliance (IP pools are not required for vRealize)
2: Click on File and chose an option deploy from OVF template
3: Once deployed then OVF start up the VM and wait for it to complete its boot process then navigate to the temporary IP given to vROps to begin the deployment/configuration
4: Click on new installation and click next
5: Set the password as old VCOPS server and click next
6: Click on default own certificates
7: And then in next window enter the product key
8: And then choose your import source from the existing vCOPS
9: Post importing the data from the existing vCOPS then switch off the vCOPS VM
10: And the assign the existing vCOPS IP’s in the new vRealize appliances
11: check plugin of vROps in vCenter
12: Compare batch and alerts configuration as per vCOPS configuration

Roll Back Steps

1: Shut down vRealize Appliance
2. Power on VCOPS appliance and reassign plugins in vCenter
